Examples of My Work

My portfolio encapsulates the whole of my adult theater work, as much as it can be digitized or described online. The breadth of my experience includes performance, design, management, research, and technical theater.

Set/Costume design

Bridge, from On the Verge

1/2 inch scale model. Design theme focused on imaginative play and vintage toys, playing with scale.

The three explorers approach a rope bridge across a snowy expanse. Made of thick rope (that one may use for a rope swing) and balance boards.

Esso Parking Lot, from On the Verge

1/2 inch scale model. Design theme focused on imaginative play and vintage toys, playing with scale.

The three explorers get their bearings in  this lot. The caravan is a Radio Flyer and the Esso sign is a painted  Altoids tin on a wooden block, all scaled up.

The Bar, from On the Verge

1/2 inch scale model. Design theme focused on imaginative play and vintage toys, playing with scale.

Three translucent lengths of fabric drape  from a pipe to the ground upstage, each lit according to an exiting  explorer. The piano is a scaled up child's toy.

Casey and Georgia, from The Legend of Georgia McBride

Casey (top left), in his casual attire at the beginning of the play. Georgia (bottom right), Casey's fully realized drag persona at the end of the play.

The Ballad of Sara Berry

GORE WARNING

A project for Concepts of Design. The prompt was to create a piece that elicits the same emotional response as your chosen story.

Tracy and Georgia's Montage

A group project for my Concepts of Design class. We collaboratively chose song excerpts for a rapid fire drag montage in Scene 8 of The Legend of Georgia McBride. I edited the audio.
